ENGAGE is a short course education programme aimed at NEET (Not in Employment, Education or Training) young people between the ages of 16-24.

ENGAGE provides participants with the opportunity to complete their Functional Skills Level/ Level 2 exams or the chance to receive additional tuition without exam pressure.

While Maths and English are vital qualifications for a young person’s employability, it is also important to develop them as a person. Our employability course focuses on improving participants across the eight Essential Skills identified within the Skillsbuilder framework: Listening, Speaking, Problem Solving, Creativity, Staying Positive, Aiming High, Leadership and Teamwork.

At the Harlequins Foundation we are passionate about promoting wellbeing, our ENGAGE Programme is no different. Participants will take part in nutrition workshops and exercise sessions delivered by our wellbeing team, while also receiving support and guidance about how best to look after their mental wellbeing and build resilience.

ENGAGE provides flexible timetabling, with the opportunity to study remotely where necessary, making it the perfect course for young people looking to re-integrate into education or who have additional commitments beyond education. The programme is roll on and roll off meaning participants can enrol year round, if you have any questions about ENGAGE or you/ someone you know is interested in enrolling please use the contact information below:

We’re excited to be able to increase our current education offer in order to support more young people, between the ages of 16-19, from Richmond and Kingston, currently not in education, employment or training. Our programme, that offers a range of qualifications including functional skills in both English and Maths is designed to support young people to re-engage with education in a supportive environment at their own pace before progressing into further education, traineeships, apprenticeships or employment.
