Public request fundraising policy

Public request fundraising policy and process

The Harlequins Foundation public request policy and process has been set up to manage the high volume of requests we receive and best manage this within our wider community.

Our resources are limited and therefore it is necessary for us to prioritize the large number of requests we receive for signed Harlequins items and gift in kind support. All requests to the Club are now dealt with by The Harlequins Foundation. We are unable to make financial donations outside the Brighter Futures Community Grants Programme. We have a limited number of signed balls and shirts we donate to charities, schools or community groups which a) are in line with the focus and key objectives of The Harlequins Foundation and b) are located in the South East of England.

If you would like to request a signed ball or signed shirt, please contact

For further information on donations and charity support, please read through these FAQs.

The opportunity to hold bucket collections at matches are limited and therefore generally restricted to the Harlequins Foundation, Premiership Rugby charities and the Harlequins Foundation’s Charity Partners.

We hope you can appreciate the players have very busy schedules during the season and therefore we cannot accept requests regarding player appearances.

All requests will need to be sent to and the request will be reviewed in line with the Harlequins Foundation Donation Requests strategy. Please allow a minimum of two weeks for all charity requests to be reviewed.

Not necessarily. We have more than 9,000 Members and I am sure you can appreciate we cannot fulfil all requests. We do consider each request separately and the final decision is at the discretion of the Harlequins Foundation team and membership team.

Unfortunately, we do not accept items to get signed on your behalf due to the number of requests we receive. If you are a Member or supporter we would encourage you to attend a match where there are opportunities to meet the players and get items signed.

If this is the case please send the name of the school, the name of the programme the school is receiving and what the money is going towards in an email to
